Craziness….Just craziness I tell you!
Well I don’t have any issue coming up with plenty to run my mouth about this time. With all of the crap-19 crap going around it is affecting each and every person worldwide in some way or another! My heart goes out to the thousands who have lost a loved one! Being stuck in isolation with not really any human contact, not being able to see your kids faces one more time or hear their voices in person! It is a truly sad time across the globe!
As you know we closed the store for a few days because one of our employees got tested for this nasty, country changing virus. They tested a big fat Negative and I was relieved for them as well as other people that had been in contact with them! After getting the green light to re-open we then decided to do curbside pick up or delivery only with no customers allowed in our store. Trust me this is not something we want to do but something we feel is the correct thing to do! Since 1968 we have put our customer’s needs first and while we are operating in a distant manner I believe we are still putting our customer’s needs first. I gotta tell you I get very hot under my collar when I see an “essential hardware business” that still allows a customer into their establishment that hasn’t changed anything except a sign on the door or maybe an x on the floor. Come on people…..Do the right thing….Not just the easy thing! When there are families a quick drive up the road that can’t see their loved ones going thru pain and suffering because of this nasty-vicious virus….Separate…Stay at home more! I know we have to work to makes ends meet but do it smartly while not putting our neighbors at risk!
Stokes county and its people are way too important to act in this manner! Stokes is one of the few or maybe the only county that doesn’t have any cases so far and if we act like we have some sense, put a few feet between us and don’t go hanging out at Wal-Mart on the juice aisle maybe we can keep it that way! Ok, I’ve said my peace and I’m pretty sure you’ve read enough so until next time….Just love each other….from a distance of course!
