My Friend!!

I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything and I hope I don’t upset any family members for this post but I would like to tell you about my friend Shirley Bullins. I first met this lady when I was a kid and took my change rolls to put in my first savings account at the bank. Seen her here and there around town over the next handful of years. She was always so nice to me and she always remembered my name. Fast forward to 2004 and she came to work with us at the store. Immediately loved by staff and customers many people would just randomly stop by just to say hello to Shirley, She made that type of impression on everyone she met. She was one of the most caring unselfish person’s that I have ever known. Always doing and help others, any charity or good cause and she was quick to help in any way she could. When my kids were small she would get them birthday gifts, draw pictures with them, show them her cat pictures and has done the same with my grandchildren. We have yelled at each other, cried together and most importantly laughed together. We have been to baseball games, basketball games, and football games together. We have bowled together, countless parties, business classes and too many Nascar races to count. I have so many great memories and could go on for days telling stories. If you do the math of just working together for 19-years that comes to 4,940 work days, 39,520 hours and 2,371,200 minutes. That may seem like a lot to some but not enough for me but I guess the blessing in disguise is He say’s Heaven is eternal, No start and no end, Time doesn’t exist, Forever and Always so I’ll get to see Shirley Bird again and I sooo look forward to telling her my dumb jokes and that Carolina suck’s compared to Wake Forest.  Miss you…Love you…See you on down the road!!
