Hello Friends!!
Just a quick reminder that we are still here and getting ramped up for our usual spring spurt of business. I have been trying to “stock up” a bit on popular items for spring and I have to say it truly is a special time in our history. Sure I could go on about all the bad things happening worldwide and it is so hard not to let your mind focus on the negative things but I try not to let it get to me or dampen my spirits! The Sun is shining, Birds chirping, Fish biting and I’m alive so what could I possibly complain about…WAIT…I am only human and to be honest…I have a crap-ton to complain about!!
What is going on!!!!!!
Pre-covid was one phone call to order anything and now you can expect at least four or five calls to find the item your looking for and a couple more calls to figure out why it is late getting to us. Fuel surcharges, High prices, Shortages, Longer lead-times, No one wants to answer their Phones or Email, Crazy Grocery prices, No vehicles, No forklifts, No Ammo and Oh did I mention Fuel surcharges.
One thing that I know to be the Absolute Gospel is that if we ever get back to a “Normal way of life” we will have some Great Stories to tell our younger generations!!!! I can see it now…” back in the early 2020’s it was crazy I tell ya….We couldn’t afford to go to the grocery store or the fuel to get there”.
There are so many things changing in our day to day lives that most people have just become numb and give the old smile and nod routine. I feel for all of the people in other countries and what they are going thru but who do you trust….media…government??
Crazy, Crazy world at this time but everything will either get better eventually or we will just accept it and move on.
I’m good with either and in the mean-time I’ll keep playing with my Grandbabies, Fishing and Selling Lumber hopefully in that order!! A few words of wisdom from my brain…Stay Calm, Keep your Family Close, Be Smart, Keep your Powder Dry, Plan Ahead, Keep your Faith and of course Just Smile!!
