Que Pasa my friends!
Hope all is well and everyone is having fun and being productive!
Ya know, sometimes when you are being torn in multiple directions, whether it’s from work or home life, its gets very easy to overlook the small stuff. One of my own made up rules to live by has always been “Don’t sweat the small stuff” and while this is true on a personal level it doesn’t really apply to running a business. The “small stuff” is what makes you money and keeps you above the dreaded bottom line. Even something as small as a company slogan can be very important, some companies spend thousands of dollars coming up with ideas while others don’t see the value. It’s hard to be original and not steal from others. For instance:
`Hedgecock Builders- We melts in your mouth and not in your hand.
`Hedgecocks- Finger lickin’ good
`Every job begins with Kay…I mean Hedgecocks
`Their G-r-r-r-eat
`Got Hedgecocks
While all of these are good in their own rite I don’t think they pertain to our building supply business. In the mean time I think I’ll stick with the one my bride came up with…From the first shovel to the last nail…Hedgecocks!! It’s simple, basic and to the point.
Anyhoo, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer because fall is right around the corner!
So Until the next time I hope you have it your way and just do it and have a break today. Remember the mind is a terrible thing to waste so let your fingers do the walking and give us a jingle because we know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two but Don’t worry we’ll leave the light on for you!!
