I’m back. Hope everyone is healthier and wiser since my last post. It has been a while since I’ve posted. With so many things going on at home and around the store, it’s been keeping me hopping and it’s hard to find the time to do some quick typing. I mean with all of the important things that have been happening it’s hard for me to stay focused sometimes. For instance, stripers are biting at Smith Mtn Lake (The Shad Taxi is an awesome guide by the way), it’s finally cool enough to enjoy some hiking, fish are running in the surf zone at the beach and last but not least, my grandbaby loves her Papa Cool! As you can see there has been a lot going on to keep me busy. Anyway, enough of my sob story, but feel free to contact me if more information is needed and yes I do accept donations!
Here at the store we have been rocking! Some days time goes by so fast it all seems like a blur. I hope everyone survived hurricane Michael and didn’t have a lot of damage! We lost power for a while but all is well now. That has been the story of most of our customers that I have spoken to.
Speaking of…I love interacting with our customers and that is what I have loved most about being part of the Hedgecock Builders family. I love to see the familiar faces to ask, “How’s your brother doing” or “Whatever happened on the decking job you were working on?” Or the introduction of new customers and their employees as we provide them with information and materials! I would love to see us go so far as to mimic Cheers with a very loud “Norm” whenever someone came in the door! The feeling you get when you are Known and Welcomed! It starts with friendship and ultimately helps with us understand your needs, which trickle down to your own customers.
Of course we have premium 2×4’s and all types of cedar products. For sure we have Valspar paint and we can deliver your order, but first …” Who am I talking to?”
All it takes is a few minutes of time to go from “some person on the phone” to “Well Hello John…How the heck have you been…did your customer like the shingles we just delivered?”
