Christmas times a coming…Christmas times a coming….
Well, Actually Christmastimes are here! We knew it was coming but somehow it always tends to sneak upon us. Hope everyone is ready and has those last minute gift ideas turning intoreality. I’ve got all my shopping done and am currently trying to bribe mydaughter into wrapping the presents for me. I was going to wrap them myself butmy wife doesn’t appreciate my duct tape style! I assured her that it was thethought that counts but she suggested I think me up some wrapping paper and doit right, So I responded with a long drawn out yes ma’am and then secretly payour daughter do it, talk about a win, win.
I am especially excited about this Christmas because this will be my first as a Grandpa and my son’s first as a Dad so I am definitely looking forward to the excitement that will be had on Christmas morning!
Here at the store business is clicking along as usual. We did switch to a new computer system on December 1st. It really wasn’t something I wanted to do but it was something we needed to do. Our old system had been discontinued since 2007 and definitely had its issues! Our biggest issue with the new system is getting people to except change and learn new things. Change scares people….It takes them out of their comfort zone and makes them think or act in a different manner. Some take to change like a Walnut Cove buzzard on a meat wagon while some get freaked out like they are getting beat with a brick stick!
All in all we have done an awesome job learning and adapting to the new system and I am proud of each and every person here at the store!!
